Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Oshkosh Forestry team at the library on Thursday, April 16!
City staff will read the classic picture book “A Tree Is Nice,” share a brief Arbor Day proclamation, and lead a fast, all‑ages “Sticker Wall” activity where participants can discuss and vote on what trees do best—shade, water, wildlife, and community.
A 10‑minute planting mini‑clinic will show how to set the root flare at grade, properly mulch and water new trees. Foresters will be giving away free bare‑root seedlings to take home while supplies last: burr oak, sugar maple, swamp white oak, white pine, black spruce, and silky dogwood. Family‑friendly; all ages welcome
