Event Details

Do you need a new costume for Halloween? Do you and your family have leftover costumes sitting in your closet? The Oshkosh Public Library will hold a Halloween Costume Swap, where you can trade your gently used costumes. From Sunday, September 21st to Friday, October 3rd, bring your costumes to the 1st Floor Circulation desk. Costumes will be available in the Reading Room on Saturday, October 4th from 9am to 12pm.

If you just want to get rid of your old costumes without swapping, we will gladly take them, and costumes will be open to all patrons whether you donate or not.

We ask that what you donate is in good condition, with no rips, tears or stains that aren’t an intentional part of the costume. Please, no toy guns be donated as part of a costume. Feel free to try stuff on at the event. Costumes are on a first come, first serve basis; we have no guarantee that we will have your size available. Any leftover costumes will be donated to local second-hand stores.
